ABCs of Art (Art Basics Classes)

Learn the art basics of value, color, design, and focal points in five classes.
I will demonstrate each step as you create your own paintings.
These are the art basics no matter what media you use, oil, watercolor, acrylic, or pastel.
I have used them all, however these classes will be using watercolor.
The classes will be from 10 AM - 3 PM, including a 30 min lunch break.
Each class is $40, get a $5 discount for each class by full advance payment.
I encourage the students to complete these basic classes before
moving on to advanced classes or individual study.
After completing the basic classes the individual study classes are $20 each.
Come prepared to create a beautiful painting in each class.

SUPPLIES
You will need the following;
Any drawing paper
Transfer paper (not carbon paper)
#2 pencil and an eraser
Your choice of WC paper or WC canvas approximately 11x14
Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Orange, and Purple WC paints
Start with good quality WC brushes of 1" flat, 5/8" flat and a #7 round.
Bring a good sized water container for washing brushes,
paper towels, a palette, and a brown bag lunch.
Most importantly bring;

I studied art and horticulture at the University of California.
I give God all the glory for my painting gift. I enjoy the beauty God has created all around us.
I love nature, all the birds, butterflies, flowers and everything from mountains to the sea shore.
My goal as an artist is to share that beauty with others.
I paint with both oils and watercolors. I love the freedom of watercolors and the rich beauty of oils.
Painting takes a lot of time and concentration. It is a great joy to see the beauty growing,
as the painting progresses. I hope you enjoy my work, as much as I enjoy doing it.
I have been painting and winning awards for many years.
My work may be viewed at shows and festivals throughout Florida
and at Island Arts in Cedar Key, Florida.
