Do You Wonder How to Visit Heaven?

We can learn how to visit heaven while we are still alive on earth. All Christians have the right and privilege of visiting heaven.

Our God is holy and He will not allow sin and unrighteousness in His presence. Jesus Christ, the living Word of God makes it possible for us to visit heaven.

We are entitled to come before the throne of God because we have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus, 1John 1:7.

Ascending for a heavenly visit.

Our Father, God loves to have His children visit Him.

So, what do we have to do to visit heaven? That's a good question. Psalms 24:3-5 gives us a good clue.

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

How to Get Ready for Visiting Heaven

Accept Jesus into your heart.
Forgive all those you have anything against.
Serve God with all your heart.

WARNING: Don't try to visit heaven, if you have not made Jesus the Lord and savior of your life. You will be opening yourself up too many dark and dangerous things.

1. Accept Jesus into Your Heart

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a holy God. He will not allow unrighteousness into His presence.

Accepting Jesus into our heart cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It opens the door for us to visit heaven.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, Romans 10:9-10.

2. Forgive All Those You Have Anything Against

Unforgiveness is a sin and we need to come before the Lord with a clean heart. The gospels of Matthew and Mark both talk about forgiving.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses, Matthew 6:14-15.

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses, Mark 11:25-26.

3. Serve God with All Your Heart

We need to love God and serve Him with our whole heart. Put no other gods before the one true living God.

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31

How to Visit Heaven

How can we visit heaven while we're still alive?

We can go for a heavenly visit with three steps that are familiar to Christians.

We need to spend regular time with the Lord. Come into God's presence with praise and worship. Keep worshiping and wait in His presence. He is faithful; He sees our hearts.

1. Spend Time with the Lord

The best tip on how to visit heaven is to spend regular time with the Lord.

Read and meditate on the Word of God. Pray regularly and make God a priority.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

2. Come into God's Presence with Praise and Worship

He is so worthy, tell Him about it. Psalms 100 is one of my favorite scriptures.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalms 100

3. Wait in His Presence

Spend time in God's presence. His timing may be different from what we think it should be. We just have to trust Him and wait for His timing.

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalms 27:14

God is Not a Respecter of Persons

2 Corinthians 12:2 talks about Apostle Paul,

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.

What God does for one person, He will do for another.

Father, God wants us to visit.

After Visiting Heaven, How Do We Go Again?

Be obedient

1. Gratitude

Always be thankful. It is so awesome that God would take individual time with us. We need to let Him know that we appreciate it. God wants us to know how to visit heaven. It's important we thank Him for it.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise Your glorious name. 1 Chronicles 29:13

2. Journal

Write down what the Lord shows and tells us. Sometimes we get so caught up in everyday life and forget things. It's refreshing to go back thru a journal and remember what God has said and done for us.
