are you wondering - Is there family in heaven?

Is there family in heaven? Yes! The answers are in book number two from the Christian book series for kids.

The Giant Pearl is a character building book for kids.  They learn about love, kindness, respect and consideration for others. At the same time they will learn;

  • What will heaven be like?
  • Who will be in heaven?
  • Is heaven boring?

What will heaven be like?

We have things we can do in heaven. Whatever our favorite things were on earth, we will still be able to do in heaven. One day I was wondering what my sister's mansion looked like and what she did in heaven.

Immediately, I saw this huge glass greenhouse. It was probably as big as the greenhouse in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. We both had greenhouses here on earth. It's a family trait, we enjoy growing plants. I didn't get to see inside, but I could see green leaves through the glass. I bet it's beautiful inside and provides her a lot of joy.

She had other hobbies on earth. She made leaded glass things, lovely wood things with a scroll saw and bird houses. She painted the wood things and flower pots with beautiful designs. She said to me, "We can make things". That sounds like fun. Whatever we liked to do on earth, we can still do it in heaven, only much better.

One time I saw a little girl with long dark hair standing by my sister.  The little girl excitedly ran to me and hugged me around my legs. She said, "I love you Aunt Carol".

I was overwhelmed!

Is-there-family-in-heavenThe family gone before is waiting for us in heaven.

My sister had an abortion years ago, before she was married. This was her a little girl.

It was amazing to see her and feel the love. Heaven is filled with love and forgiveness.

God will forgive us no matter what we have done in our life. We can start building Christian character by forgiving those who have treated us bad.

Whatever may have happened to a baby to end its life, it still lives in heaven. Aborted and miscarried children go straight to heaven.

If their mother is not in heaven, a family member will take care of the child until the parent gets there.

God loves and forgives us no matter what we have done in life.

We can start building Christian character by forgiving those who have treated us bad.

The babies are well cared for in heaven until family members arrive.

Is heaven boring?

What can we do in heaven? There’s lots of fun stuff to do in heaven. There are adventures, like riding down a waterfall. I went riding down a giant, high waterfall.

At the bottom, my big sister was standing there beside a beautiful pool of water. (She had left for heaven a few years ago.) She said, "Let’s go diving in the water. We can swim underwater without breathing air".

We went underwater and saw gorgeous, beautiful fish swimming around. And nobody was afraid of us. We could swim right up next to the fish. The animals in heaven are all friendly. It is amazing!

We swam around looking at all the beautiful fish. Down at the bottom I saw a huge clam. His mouth was open and he had a giant pearl in his mouth. It was amazing how big it was!

I took the pearl and swam back to the surface with it. The pearl was beautiful and so big, about the size of a basketball.

While I was admiring the giant pearl, all of the sudden, I realized it did not belong to me.

I felt bad and thought about all the work the clam did to make such a giant pearl.

I said to my sister, "I'm going to take it back to the clam. He worked so hard making it." So I went in the water and swam down to the clam. He was still there with his mouth open. He was so sad that he had lost his big beautiful pearl.

Look at all the work the clam did to make the giant pearl.

It's not mine. I'm going to take it back. The clam said, "Thank you.".

I put the giant pearl back into the clam. He said, "Thank you." Respect and consideration are part of building Christian character.

Is there family in heaven? Yes, and sometimes we will see family members we have not met before. I wonder what it will be like to meet my great, grandparents and their parents. There's lots to do in heaven and so many adventures in store for us.
